After the ascending of Jesus Christ ,the disciples spent 50 days, waiting for filling of the holy spirit.50 has 5 of tens, and 5 is pentagon.that's why they are called pentecostal. back on your question.
Jesus rose from the death on the 6th day(Sunday). Jesus taught us not to respect days, since preached the gospel every day to multitudes.this was because people respected a day more than there God from Moses days to B.C. The Pentecostals believe that the holy spirit can speak to them at any hour or day

I was once an SDA not bad but they have made it tooo religious by following the doctrins of the past that is not applied to the present, what do I mean?look at watching the sabath on Saturday, they neither cook nor carry any luggage but deep inside their heart there are luggages of sinful nature.they pose as if Christ is in the next door but their spirit man is wicked, they believe in Christ but not in other ministries proclaiming the gospel of Christ.they believe in religion and not living a born again christian life.Their counting of days also differs thats why pentecostal churches worships on their sabath day on Sunday while they do it on Saturday.lets keep in touch.

The problem is in the disagreement of what some people consider to be the Sabbath. As far as I understand, SDA believe that a church service is a celebration of the Sabbath. Where as I believe that a church service is the celebration of the Lord’s Day, not of the Sabbath. Sunday worship and church services are a gathering of believers that serves a purpose aside from the celebration of the Sabbath. The purpose of Sunday worship is to celebrate the risen Christ, offer respect and praise to the lord, and strengthen and encourage one another as a community of believers. This is a belief that I, the modern evangelical community, Prodestants and the Catholic Church all share.
People who teach that Sunday is the Sabbath are incorect and furthurmore subject to the Sabbath regulations. This is a heresy. I suggest reading Hebrews chapter 4 to bring more light to the subject. The short version is that Jesus is the type and substance of the sabbath and our faith in him fulfills our legal requirement to rest on the sevneth day. Appling the 4th comandment litterally now does away with the grace of God and binds the believer to the law, and the law cannot save.
SO, why is church on Sunday? Simple, it is because it is a new celebration based on a new covenant with God. It is not a celebration of the 4th commandment Sabbath. That being said, we should have biblical back up for our practice of the Sunday worship. This is quite simple to do actually…
Luke 22:19-20 “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me. Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.”
Jesus Establishes the new covenant…
Acts 2:41-42 “Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
Fallowing His resurrection the apostles begin to celebrate the new covenant with fellowship and the breaking of bread…
Acts 20:7 “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.”
They celebrated on Sunday…
SO why abandon the practice of the Sabbath?
Mark 2:27-28 “And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath…
Hebrews 4:2-3 “For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: ‘So I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest,’ although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”
Jesus explains that the “rest” of the Sabbath is actually his rest and comes though faith not of the law, just as it was since Genesis1:1
Hebrews 4:10 “For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.”

Did you ever hear of Oliver B. Green? he was a Baptist preacher, went into a Methodist church with the KJV Bible 1611 in his hand and preahed the Gospel, he also went into a Pentacostal Church, and preahed the Gospel, with the same Bible. Some Churches would not let him preach, because they did not want to hear the true word of God preached. If you have any other Bible it some one own words added to it. God bless the people that don't want to hear the truth. God bless this Country here, our own people here don't want to hear the true words. They need Jesus!!! Jesus is coming soon!!!!
